Learning Without Lessons
In 2016 Canadian Tire launched a physical catalog with augmented reality enhancements to familiarize customers with the diverse product range. My team was tasked with training store staff on how to use the catalog and the featured products.
The end result was the Wow Guide Catalog Quest. A gamified experience that leverage a multimedia interactive custom learning experience to drive staff engagement with the catalog. Weekly prizes were awarded for engaging with the quest.
In 2016 I presented this gamified experience with my team at the DevLearn conference where it won Best Game-based Solution.
In 2017 I was invited back as a speaker and presented a session on gamified learning. This microsite was created as a resource for attendees.
